The body scan is an effective and easy-to-learn mindfulness exercise that helps you to relax and reduce stress. This involves systematically experiencing your body and focussing your attention on the different areas of your body. While you are doing this, you should carefully observe your breath, your thoughts, your feelings and your physical sensations – regardless of whether they are pleasant, unpleasant or neutral. Just notice. Don’t judge. Don’t try to change anything.
